MND‘s press release to interpret “PRC’s long-ranged flight training at dawn” (December 11th, 2017)
MND said (11th) that multiple PRC’s aircrafts such as Xian H-6 carried out long-ranged flight training. Part of them flew through Miyaaku Channel to west Pacific Ocean and then returned to base along the original course, whilst others including Y-8 headed south and returned to base through Bashi Channel.
MND’s Director Feng swiftly went to the joint command centre after the inspection in the morning. Briefed with sea and air situation, the activity was identified with the one in the same period in last year. Director Feng ordered to maintain the monitoring and respond with actions accordingly. No abnormality was found in this training activity and people can be calm.
